Ben, son of Belle and the once selfish beast, is poised to become next on the throne, Ben feels that since he is the son of someone once seen as evil but one person saw him differently and had given him a chance and so he would do the same for the kids of the villains and so he allows the villain kids from the Isle Of The Lost to attend Auradon Prep All the while Maleficent hatches an evil plan to use this opportunity to get the wand and remove the barrier to the Isle. From there, things go way downhill for the VK's as they learn things about themselves that they didn't know before and finding love that was never possible. Tension rises between Mal and Danny as he starts to think all she wants is his other half, Caleb Hyde.
