Quinn ran through the tall grasses which tore and grappled at her clothes. A cold wind rippled them, sending a shiver up her neck. When she approached the old, white door, she stabbed her key into the lock and flung it open. Quinn marched into the house. All was still and grey. The broken furniture had been taken and the floor was vacuumed. A sob welled up in Quinn's throat at the sight. She didn't know what she'd expected to see, but didn't care! This wasn't her home anymore! This wasn't her escape from life! She fell to her knees and cupped her face in her hands. After about ten minutes a deep rumble came from above. It was the unmistakable sound of thunder. Anger rose in Quinn's voice as she stood, shaking, to her feet. "Don't you DARE rain!" she commanded. "Don't you DARE!!!" Her voice failed and violent convulsions began to overcome her.
