Elaine, 15, is thrown for a loop one night when the demons her family has been hiding from finally catch up. Because of this she and her brother are sent to live at the Mansion of Birds owned by David Rossi. Up until this point, it was only a place in the stories her mother told, but now she must adjust to its unique characters while awaiting her mother's return.
