Girl in her early 20s moves to the Pacific Northwest to start fresh, far away from the heartbreaks and letdowns of her life prior. Despite battling with mental health mishaps, she's reaping the fruits of her labour and growing into a life of finding joy in the ordinary. Coming home late after a night out, she runs into somebody outside her apartment complex. It was more of a fleeting moment than anything. Polite introductions, quick glances, "Nice to meet you"'s and "Have a good night". Maybe if she weren't so tipsy, the first thing she noticed about him wouldn't have been how insanely hot he was. And then maybe she wouldn't have gone to bed thinking about the angles of his jaw or the stretch of his shirt or the fact that he was probably well over 20 years older than she was.
And then maybe she wouldn't have developed such an infatuating crush on him. Because lets be honest, crushes are cute until you make a fool out of yourself. Words dying in your mouth, awkward smalltalk. She's had enough of that. Better to forget about it.
Until the random run ins became suspiciously frequent. Until he was the one searching for words, blushing when she noticed him staring. Weeks would go by like this, weeks that turned into months of signs that maybe, possibly, he was crushing just as bad.
She'd daydream of waking up in his bed, hands under each others clothes, bodies pinned against the wall.
