Chan is the god of spring who falls in love with a mortal. God's falling in love with mortals is forbidden, and Chan risks everything to get one interaction with the human boy. He gets caught, and is banished and ridden of his title, set to live on the mortal land forever, as he is immortal. There he meets more banished gods (Changbin, Jisung, Hyunjin and Jeongin) and their lovers who also became immortal due to falling in love with the gods. Woojin is a mortal that falls in love with Chan at first sight of him in the store. Their only interaction was a simply greeting and exchange of names as Chan bought a key chain of an autumn leaf with a heart engraved on it. Only for the keychain to be left behind with a little note telling him it was for him. Woojin never saw Chan again, but one day see's him sitting on the side of the road at one in the morning playing with a cherry blossom petal.
