Time had taken away what she had once loved most but after a certain encounter with a girl by the name of Alice, Catherine realized this side of the Looking Glass had something different in store for her. Could what had been lost be brought back? It had been two years ago when Cath's changed forever, when she fell in love with a jester and believed in the impossible, until she was pulled back into the cruel reality, and became the infamous Queen of Hearts. Now, she has a dream of the Sisters giving her another chance to end her story differently, and get the happily ever after she's always wanted. But how is that possible? Well as it seems, Fate has a way of surprising us in the most unlikely of ways. =========================================== Disclaimer: This is a fan made sequel to Marissa Meyer's Heartless, so, if you plan on reading this, know that you'll obviously have to have read Heartless to get what happened. Also note this story was made because of how upset I was with the ending of Heartless, and I didn't find what I wanted in other fan fictions, so I made my own. Please excuse if the characters are inaccurate, I'm not the best writer out there, so if you have some constructive criticism for me, don't hesitate to tell me. Aiden Corvus Pinkerton is the older brother of the much beloved Lady Catherine Pinkerton, future queen of hearts. While his sister falls deeply in love with the king, Aiden's eyes are drawn to the gauntly beautiful Jest. Jest is Aiden's impossibility, magnificent in all his glory. Unable to accept Jest's death even after losing her heart and marrying the King of Hearts, killing Sir Peter was not enough for Cath. Desperate to get Jest back, Cath seeks out the Three Sisters and asks if there is any way to change her fate and undo Jest's death. The Sisters reveal that there is a way to reverse what has happened - but since "all magic comes with a price" someone else must be sacrificed in Jest's place. Cath could sacrifice her former best friend, Mary Ann, who had been reckless enough to go to the pumpkin patch alone and is the reason they never went to Chess. Or she could sacrifice Hatta, who brought the cursed pumpkin seeds into Hearts, causing Lady Peter to become the Jabberwock. Or perhaps her mother, who never accepted Cath's dreams and tried to keep her away from Jest. Faced with a cruel choice, Cath must decide whether bringing back the man she loves is worth sacrificing another life. AN: I'm not sure if I'll change they title and cover of the Fanfiction yet

Heartless, Marissa Meyer. Queen Catherine of Hearts was ruthless and cold-hearted. Trading her broken heart to the Fates in exchange for revenge, the innocent girl who just wanted to start a bakery with her maid friend is lost, and all that remains is an empty girl. Or perhaps she is not empty, but overflowing with anger and revenge and vengeance, or perhaps that is all she can remember anymore and she truly is empty, running on mimicked emotions that she can't actually feel. She is Queen, now, and Jest is long dead. Peter Peter's corpse hangs from the castle's gates. A reminder to all to never forget Her Majesty's wrath. Jest watches, hopeless and helpless. He can do nothing but watch the girl he loved transform into a monarch, his friends transformed into a murderer and a madman. A Queen, an executioner and a mad hatter. Sarah Pinkerton is Catherine's little sister. Both of them share the same dream of opening a bakery, but Catherine was always the better sister. Prettier, sweeter, funnier, and now she's going to be wed to the kind. Sarah would do anything to be like Catherine. But as she learns about Catherine's true love Jest, she knows that Catherine isn't happy about the engagement. With the Jabberwocky on the loose, Sarah has to choose her own path, and step out of the shadow of her sister, then maybe she can show that she's not just Catherine's little sister, but she's Sarah.

Jest is alive. He doesn't know how, or why, but he's alive. He stumbles upon a tea party. The host non other than the Mad Hatta. But attending was a field mouse, a March hare, a hound, a black raven, and a girl. She had hair, that almost looked black, green eyes, a red heart painted on her cheek and a golden crown set atop her head. ❤️ Catherine hasn't married the king, and she now lives with Hatta. (The two people on the front cover are what Catherine and Hatta look like in this book!) I wanted to add that I do not own any of Marissa Meyer's characters, and that she is an INCREDIBLE author! Like so many, the end of "Heartless" broke my heart, and I really wanted Cath, Jest, Raven, and Hatta to have their happy ending without changing the satisfied ending Marissa Meyer wrote. The Mad Hatter knows he's mad. Most of the time, he remembers why. Almost all of the time, he remembers everything. Everyone lost a part of themselves when the Sister's prophecy came true. Hatta has given up hope on there being a way out for him. Thankfully, there are others who choose not to give up on him.
