High school only happens once in a life time. For two friends its a make or break time. While trying to control their powers, they must also try to forbear their alter-personalities inside. Both must try to withstand the urges to let the "viruses" take over. If they do it may ruin their lives for the worst.

Would she finally get her happily ever after? Here is the prolouge of Hopeful, a fanfiction inspired by the what-ifs that plauge many fans of Heartless everywhere. Does everyone need to have a story? Why would someone create something which is so exhausting? Are everyday problems not enough to kill most of your time? Do you really need to build a castle of words, just so you can escape in it? I don't know. I think I've wandered too far away from the intended frenzies of internet adventures. Let us tell you a story that is one of many. Some will fall in love with the tail, but others will see it no different to any. The tail of a tragic loss, could have been different, if Catherine had not cared to toss the iron gates open and lead her to her fate. Oh, why did she have to open that haunting gate? Why didn't she ignore that desperate cry? And go through the Looking Glass, not having to see the coronation come to pass. With her heart belonging to Jest, THROUGH! Through that mirror they could have went! Little did they know our drawings could be so easily smudged, if only she had nudged that glass closer to her lip, and she could have avoided her now sorrowful guilt trip.This is the story that could have been, that would not include Catherine becoming that notorious Queen. So, what we are trying to say, is Jest would not be dead, and there would be no Queen of Hearts known to this day...

After the attack at the theatre, in a reality where Jest was not accused of kidnapping Lady Pinkerton after returning from the treacle well, still as the court joker, Catherine is invited to a royal feast with most of Hearts nobility. Cath still has trouble trying to convince everyone about the future proposal from the King, and that she refuses to accept. But, is it possible her parents will realize that this is not her path, that she refuses to let this become her fate? [This story is my personal alternative ending to Heartless and a different plot from when this story starts. An AU of sorts. ALL CHARACTERS AND RIGHTS BELONG TO MARISSA MEYER.]

The Story Hopeless takes place five years after Jest's death. Catherine - the Queen of Hearts - is loathed by everyone. Even the king is afraid of her, and they stay in different wings of the palace. But those are some one the least harmful problems in Wonderland. The war between the White and Red Queens of Chess has spread to dozens of other parts the realm. Without the Resilient Heart of the Queen of Hearts, the White Queen can get no leverage in the war. The Red Queen has heard about the heart's power, and also that it was lost a long time ago. She believes she can beat the White Queen. Hatta has gone completely insane, and Haiga and the Dormouse have become frightened of him. Minions of the Red Queen have infiltrated Hearts, searching for Catherine's weaknesses. But there is one person that could save them all. A Knight of the White Queen, determined to do anything to stop the war. One way or another, that Knight will help Catherine become good again. Even if someone in Wonderland becomes completely Hopeless.
