But attending was a field mouse, a March hare, a hound, a black raven, and a girl. She had hair, that almost looked black, green eyes, a red heart painted on her cheek and a golden crown set atop her head. ❤️ Catherine hasn't married the king, and she now lives with Hatta. (The two people on the front cover are what Catherine and Hatta look like in this book!) I wanted to add that I do not own any of Marissa Meyer's characters, and that she is an INCREDIBLE author! The land of Chess is at war. Before falling in love with Catherine, our beloved Jest met Princess Lily, the daughter of the White Queen. The ongoing war between the red and white queendoms may require the gracious jester to have a courtship with the princess, a girl he hardly knows, to save his country. ~Jest's life may have ended in the land of Hearts, but this is his life as a Rook (and jester?) in Chess.~ (NOTE: This is a prequel to Heartless. ALSO: This suggests romance, but there isn't any. I'm a hardcore JestXCath shipper.)

Hatta has given up hope on there being a way out for him. Thankfully, there are others who choose not to give up on him.

Moi przyjaciele , nie uwierzyli , że się przemieniłam w Wampira. Od teraz pije krew i poluje.

Now, she has a dream of the Sisters giving her another chance to end her story differently, and get the happily ever after she's always wanted. But how is that possible? Let us tell you a story that is one of many. Some will fall in love with the tail, but others will see it no different to any. The tail of a tragic loss, could have been different, if Catherine had not cared to toss the iron gates open and lead her to her fate. Oh, why did she have to open that haunting gate? Why didn't she ignore that desperate cry? And go through the Looking Glass, not having to see the coronation come to pass. With her heart belonging to Jest, THROUGH! Through that mirror they could have went! Little did they know our drawings could be so easily smudged, if only she had nudged that glass closer to her lip, and she could have avoided her now sorrowful guilt trip.This is the story that could have been, that would not include Catherine becoming that notorious Queen. So, what we are trying to say, is Jest would not be dead, and there would be no Queen of Hearts known to this day...
