Opus Dei - the work of God – in this case, the work of the hidden god. From an attack on the streets of Beirut during the civil war till the incredible climax in 2016, this strange tale of conspiracy and intrigue is sure to grip the reader. Opus Dei has an intensely human aspect to the story. It is the love relationship between Pierre Zein and Danielle. And it is their struggle, with a young family, to survive in a country divided by conflict. “A leader is about to arise. A man who will seize Europe and overpower her as a man takes a woman. He will dominate her and she will serve him. This man’s name is war…” This prophecy by the Twelfth Imam of the Shiites leads Pierre Zein, a journalist, to investigate the dark forces behind the scenes intent on creating a New World Order. In Israel an attack is launched against the Iranian nuclear installations, while on the same night a right-wing group raze the Dome of the Rock plunging the region into war. By the intervention of one man, a new Order comes into being - one that is ultimately intended to destroy the Holy Land. Opus Dei reveals the secrets concealed beneath the pyramids of Egypt, and the ultimate secret of the Knights Templar. These are the hidden things, the desire of ages, over which wars have been fought and are destined to be fought again. A game is played between two men and two powers – Islam’s Al Mahdi, and the leader of the Order. Only one man can win and the winner takes all. The work of the hidden god is almost complete. The intended New World Order is well-documented. Opus Dei reveals its beginning and more importantly, its end. It discovers the confluence of politics, mythology and Biblical prophecy. As fresh as tomorrow’s newspaper, this novel was written over many years. It is deeply researched and carefully crafted.

A story that weaves its fabric through the history of man and jumps and leaps around places and times spinning and twisting like a mad trout on a line. A tale of power, corruption, magic, honour and treachery; a tale of travellers and places they travel. This book draws on historic events and it is always hard to know whether they are truth, a version of the truth or fiction. References to living people or those who lived are made with no claim to the character of the person. All other characters in this book are fictional; I hope. Finally, to all those who keep the Roma story alive, the wonderful web sites that exist in spite of any prejudices that would stop the true story from getting through, I thank you all. The research and knowledge these sites (too many to mention here) offered was invaluable. To all that read this book, go look for yourself and learn a little about one of the oldest civilizations in recorded history. The Roma are also known as Gypsies, Rom, Rroma and Romani; the Roma are travelers. This is a work in progress and I will post the chapters are I write them. Sit back and enjoy this journey; become a traveler with us.
