The dead can't speak. The dead can't walk. And the dead definitely can't perform magic. 12 years ago, Harry Potter was orphaned when his parents, Lily and James Potter, lovingly sacrificed themselves to save his life. All his life, Harry Potter was told that his parents had died in a car crash. He was told that the little lightning scar on his forehead was from a shard of glass. Harry Potter was told that he was a normal boy. But, on his eleventh birthday, shocking news reached him. A giant, Hagrid, claimed that Harry was a wizard. That his parents didn't die in a car crash, that they died saving him from Lord Voldemort, one of the most powerful wizards alive. He claimed that the little lightning scar on his forehead was from a very dark curse. Harry missed his parents more than anything. If he could have one thing in his life, he would want a true family. But, one little thing changed everything. Would he believe that there's someone he can call real family? Someone who wants to spoil him and send him Christmas gifts and Birthday cards? Someone that misses him just as much as he missed them? During his third year at Hogwarts, Harry Potter's life becomes far from the normal one he knew for eleven years. It becomes more abnormal than turning teacups into rats, and using incantations to make objects float, because anybody else's definition of a normal life finally makes an appearance in Harry's, changing him forever. - - Harry Potter and its characters and places belong to JK Rowling! A story in which James, Lily, and Sirius come back to life while a seventeen-year-old Harry is out hunting for Horcruxes. With a war raging and their son and godson smack in the middle of it, the three must put all their resources and abilities together to reunite with and save Harry Potter, all while piecing together the very confusing and dangerous life he has led without them. However, with almost no one seeming to know (or, in some cases, be alive to know) about the return of Lily, James, and Sirius, they quickly find themselves on their own, with Potterwatch broadcasts and questionable Daily Prophet newspapers as their only guide. On top of that, Harry himself isn't making it any easier for them, as he's constantly moving around and popping up in unpredictable places. Without knowing it, Harry Potter had created the most extreme game of Wack-A-Mole ever. ---- This story all began with this one idea I'd had while reading fanfics.
