Immediately following the events of 5x22, Chris and Street have to navigate a new relationship road block that could really change everything. After every excellent, action-packed episode of SWAT, Street goes home to Chris. I was challenged to write a small scene that takes place at the end of each new episode where we get a glimpse into stris, so these are one shots of how the episode really ends for me. {I don't own any of the SWAT show members} Welcome to SWAT! Being the new member isn't so bad, especially when everyone is treated liked family. The name is Aurora Reese and this is my story of being on 20 David and being in love with trouble himself, Jim Street.

Even on their day off, they can't seem to catch a break from one of the team being in the wrong place at the wrong time. (Characters are not owned by me)

Chris comes back from working abroad in Paris for the TLI program and has finally realized and accepted that she's in love with Street. Willing to fully risk losing her spot on the team, she's ready to come clean about her feelings and give them the shot he's been fighting for years. The question is; are her and Jim on the same page? ____ "Maybe we should both just stop running," she tried. Jim shook his head. "I stopped running three months ago. You made it explicitly clear that you wanted nothing to do with me, so that's what I got accustomed to. You can't come back, after four months of absolutely nothing, and just decide that we can finally give us a shot just because you decided that you're ready. That's not how that works."

What if Street had a secret? What if he never told anyone? What if his friends and team finds out? What'll happen now?

They met in a war zone - a closed-off Ranger and an Army nurse who brought light even in blood and sand. He craved her laugh, her calm, her presence. She promised he'd hear it again. Bruised but alive, they build a life together through trauma, healing, and the kind of love that survives the great war. Jim Street is the closed off Army Ranger and Haley James was the Army nurse. Street is now SWAT. Hondo, Deacon, Luca, Tan, and Christina are the SWAT team and don't know that Street served because they've never earned it and because they already resent him, them knowing that he used to outrank everyone on the team would just add fuel to the fire. Hondo, Deacon, Luca, Tan, and especially Christina despise and hate Street with their entire being even though he's never done anything to warrant the hate. Street was a E9 in the Army. That means he was a Command Sergeant Major. SWAT has no idea Street ever served and he plans to keep it that way. Street also has one daughter. Her name is Ashley Grace Street. She is 19 and the light of his life. Haley is now a nurse working at St. Francis Medical Center. Street was born November 7, 1969. He enlisted in 1987 and served in Desert Storm and the War On Terror. Street retired in 2017 after serving thirty years in the Army. Street joined SWAT late 2017 and has been with SWAT for nine years. Haley was born May 26, 1971. Haley enlisted in 1989.

You are Darryl's younger sister Annalyse. You cause more trouble then he does. When Hondo takes you and Darryl in and is used to you wanting to get out of school. He doesn't believe you when you wake up one morning with really a really bad stomach ache but you walk out when Darryl says something that annoys you he doesn't know what's going on until later when he gets home he isn't sure if he should believe you or not about your stomach ache.
