After his defeat at the hands of Jang Uk and his allies, Jin Mu finds himself alone and without purpose. Seeking redemption for his past actions, he goes into hiding, determined to atone for his sins. One day, he crosses paths with Jae-min, a powerful female mage from a noble family. Intrigued by her strength and intelligence, Jin Mu initially approaches her with the intent of manipulating her for his own gain. However, as they spend more time together, he begins to develop genuine feelings for her, which conflicts with his desire for redemption. As their relationship grows, Jin Mu finds himself torn between his past and his newfound feelings. Meanwhile, Jae-min, aware of Jin Mu's reputation but seeing potential for good in him, tries to help him redeem himself. Together, they work to use their combined knowledge of dark and light magic, as well as poisons and herbs, to help those in need. However, their alliance does not go unnoticed, and soon they find themselves facing opposition from those who refuse to believe in Jin Mu's sincerity. With the Five Seasons divided over their relationship, Jin Mu and Jae-min must navigate a dangerous world filled with enemies both old and new.
