Things had been tense between Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian for a long time because of Wei Wuxian moving away and Jiang Cheng feeling like he had been abandoned. Jin Ling goes on a study trip with his friends, asking Jiang Cheng to pet sit his new dog, Fairy.
