Han, a quiet folklorist and university researcher, travels to a rural Japanese village known for legends of kitsune (fox spirits) possessing humans. He's investigating a string of eerie cases: people falling into trance-states, entire nights "missing," strange lights near the shrine, and a forbidden ritual whispered among elders.
During his stay, Han meets Felix, a mysterious foreigner who has been living near the forest's edge for years. Felix is charismatic but evasive; the villagers fear him, claiming he's "marked" by a fox spirit. He is rumored to have survived a yokai attack that killed his previous partner.
Han dismisses the rumors-until he catches Felix at night, eyes glowing gold, speaking in a language that isn't human.
But Felix isn't the monster the village paints him to be.
Who is the kitsune?
What does Chagbin has to do with Han's past?
