A fanfiction loosely following some of the events of Joe and Dianne's strictly journey. One night, when the pair make the decision to answer 36 questions in an attempt to get to know each other, everything begins to change between them, slowly at first, but then all at once.

My friends begged me to write Joanne fic so I did. I usually write other fic on Tumblr but apparently this is where people post Joanne fic so this is where it is I suppose.

Joanne Kris is depressed. She used to be that funny random girl who everyone likes but now she's just crushed. I mean who wouldn't be when you've just found out the man of your life has left you to date your enemy. Yeah, life can sometimes kick you in the ass and Jo now wants to be the one who does some ass-kicking. But her plans of sabotage and mischief are cut short by the arrival of a new transfer student and for some reason he won't leave her alone. Will Joanne be able to continue with her plans of chaos or will she give in to this mysterious boy and finally move on?

Watching Joe and Dianne playing Sims 4 during lockdown inspired me to write this story. It follows the Suggwells as they build a home, build a relationship, and build a life together. The structure of the story is similar to that of 'New Girl' by Rzar123. I haven't copied (I swear!), but I was inspired by the idea of having each chapter set over the course of a month. And, as the story unfolds, you'll hopefully understand why I've paced it that way. But if you like a slow-burn romance, this story ain't it! For those who have watched the Sim's videos, you'll know that everything happened very quickly in that game. So, I've tried to slow the pace down a bit; but the story will still require some suspension of disbelief (well, more than my previous stories!), so please try to humour me! This won't play out in exactly the same way as the series did, but there are certain plot points from the videos that I will be including. And although I've tried to make it as realistic as possible, the story is still quite satirical and doesn't take itself too seriously! All comments, feedback and suggestions are welcome, and I will try to take them on board.

I stare out of the window, taking deep breaths as the plane rises into the sky. I look down upon Australia, as it becomes smaller and smaller, and soon it's no less than a little dot in the ocean. Why did I have to do this? Why am I here? Well, I know why. Oh boy, I know why. Joe and Dianne as if they're fifteen/sixteen. Same as my Instagram (_joanne._.suggwell_).
