Echo was left to be raised by her veteran father after her mother left them. Most people thought of her father as something of a war hero but he wasn't the hero in echos life, no he was the villain. He "trained" her. He was off his rocker, always rambling about being prepared or some bullshit. His training as he called it was brutal and extensive, ending with young echo beaten to a pulp almost every night. She became exactly what he wanted though, a skilled fighter, precise and lethal. After an especially bad incident at 16 she ran away and never looked back. She struggled for a while, homeless and desperate but she found her way. She put her skills to good use at a club: vortex. She fought in cage matches and built a reputation as their first female champion. One day the four bosses of vortex offer her a job. She doesn't have a choice but to accept and the money is too good to give up anyway. The job is simple enough, kill their business partner. It should be quick, clean and easy. In and out. Simple enough right? Wrong. What happens when feelings change and things get complicated. My first book please give it a chance if you're even a lil interested.
