The prompt I picked was a writer ending up in their own story. At first, I thought, cool - just 2000 words. But once I started, I realized how brutal that limit can be. Every sentence I wanted to add meant sacrificing another, and it hurt to cut scenes I loved. But in the process, I learned something important, sometimes restraint makes a story hit harder(not in my case cause my original was perfect😝) This piece became more than just a challenge as it forced me to sit with my characters, face the weight of what I'd written for them, and decide what truly mattered. I hope you feel that too when you read it.

Joelle wasn't so excited to go cause she knew that she wasn't going to fit in. But when she gets there it totally turned around for her she met a girl and step brother that helped her out so much someone who made her felt welcome someone who actually cared for her.
