There are three rules when Joel lets her trail him after an incident with her old and horrible crew,: Stay silent, follow him, and leave him alone as soon as she finds somewhere else to be. I hadn't seen many Joel miller fanfics so I decided to make one. He's always here. Emery was a kind girl, many say a bad bone wasn't in her body. Of course till the apocalypse started. When she gets asked to go on a trip to take a little girl to the firefly's with a person she had feelings for. Everything changes. *Just a tear rolling down her face. She was fast to take her hand and wipe it away. "I'm here." Joel muttered. His heart beating rapidly for her. Emery turned to him fast. Her look broke his heart for some reason. The world might have ended for everyone else in 2003, but Lina's world ends when her goddaughter is kidnapped and taken out west. Now she must agree to help the Fireflies as one of the most likely to be able to help create a cure and travel across no man's land with Joel, a man who's equally irritating as he is enticing, and Ellie, who's actually a really good kid.
