ThelastofTays
After Salt Lake City, Joel Miller is back in Jackson physically, at least. Emotionally? That's a longer road.
And for Dolly Hart, a sharp-tongued bar maid with ghosts of her own, the last thing she expected was for Joel to walk into her life like nothing had changed.
But everything's changed.
What begins with a shared night and unspoken pain spirals into something deeper, messy, complicated, impossible to name. As winter gives way to spring, Dolly is forced to reckon with her past, her grief, and the parts of her heart she thought had died with it. Joel, in turn, finds himself standing at a crossroads, keep running from everything he's done, or finally start showing up for someone.
I wrote this as an alternate to the game two. The first part is very long, yes but it's worth it. Part two will be more game oriented and circle back to Joels consequences.
Trigger warning there is mentions of suicide and stillbirth.
