Brandi is a small town girl who is frustrated with living the very reserved and conservative life she has been brought up to live. She decides to take a vacation to visit her friend, Angeline and get her perspective on her plans to change her life. While she's spending her two weeks out there some tragic and dangerous things take place at home leaving her no option but to start her life over. Now instead of being a single hard working Christian girl she is the scared to death mother of two small children, in a state she doesn't know, homeless and jobless. That is until Angeline brings her situation to the attention of her father and uncles. They help her get a job and a place to stay. The one problem? Brandi finds herself falling for one of her friends uncles. How will she hide it from Angeline and Joey? What would Joey think and what would happen if the media got wind of her Joey? In celebration of We Are Not Your Kind's release I decided to finally write this shitty Slipknot au I made when I was like 12. If it does well enough or if I'm in a writing mood I'll continue to post chapters. This is pretty out of character considering it's like a breakfast club, demigods, summer camp au. I know it's bad but don't @ me jggh. Side note: each chapter is named after a song that I felt fit the theme of that chapter so you can check those out for additional dumbassery.

A 16 year old Cassie Bang moves from Outer Banks North Carolina to Des Moines Iowa, and she tries to solve the problems of misogyny at her new school while also dealing with her home life and drug problems. She also faces the problems of her future, will she go to college and finish her 'dreams' of studying history? Or will she go the feminist punk way with her shitty guitar? Or will she face the problem of love.. SPOILER!!: this book is really just about Cassie and her story, joey is mentioned in it but in later chapters, joey is definitely more mentioned and in the story more!!
