The original story was written when I was 11, so I thought as a 15 year old with some fresh ideas in set to carry on with this fanfiction, I'd start again from the beginning, changing the story a little bit but it wasn't all that developed anyway... Summary: It's the beginning of a new year at Duel Academy, the freshman due to arrive any moment. Jaden Yuki sits under a tree and gazes over the ocean early in the morning since classes weren't until the afternoon. Jesse Anderson and Jaden go to the docks to wait for the freshman's boat to arrive. But Jaden isn't just there to greet the new students, no, every year he is waiting for one person to hopefully show.

When Zael meets a Duel Monsters Spirit who claims to have lost his memories, of course he's ready to help out. What they both don't know is that Chazz isn't the only former Duelist now trapped in a card. And the hunters have already arisen.

Jun doesn't like learning useless things, but Johan is a good teacher.

Duel Academy gets a new transfer student from Alabama in the United States of America, his name was Jesse Anderson. He had a hard time back in America, being passed around, foster home to foster home only to get verbally and physically abused his whole life. He wasn't a bad kid at all but his parents were alcoholics and drug addicts, which led to Jesse being taken out of their care. He had no friends growing up because he was an outcast and somewhat a shut in. He thought he could have a better life when he arrived to Duel Academy but everyone ended up making fun of him because of his accent and being stereotypical because he was from Alabama. But one person stood out from the rest. A cute brown haired boy from the Slifer red dorm. He didn't treat him like the others did. He was nice to Jesse and would stand up for him if someone was harassing him. Jaden Yuki. He was the only person he felt he could trust and share his thoughts with. After all these years he finally found someone that didn't treat him like shit and criticize him and maybe Jesse was in love with him.
