Book 03/06 (Current Version: Prototype - Version 1.0) This story/fanfiction is a 'what if scenario' within the Sci-Fi videogame series known as Halo and is based on an original character named 'Lieutenant Serenity McKnight' that partners with the legendary Master Chief himself, after the UNSC Pillar of Autumn had escaped a Halo Ring known as Installation 04 by the help of a mysterious alien of myth and legend called a Forerunner. The UNSC and their newest ally embark on a heavy defensive throughout Earth against the enemy, protecting humanities home planet at all cost. Lieutenant Serenity McKnight and her brothers and sisters in arms do their best to make the best of the war at the African front nearing New Mombasa. Doing so until an unknown mission would begin, deep in the jungle. The story is a 'reimagining' of Halo and is non-canon and is to be not taken seriously as this was an idea created back when I first played the games. Combat Evolved is the first book of my main series known as 'Halo Battle Buddies' and will lead up to the first game and beyond. Master Chief, otherwise known as Spartan-II soldier John-117, has never been one to work with others on the perilous journeys and missions tasked. That is, for the only exception he'll make. Mary-121, too, is a Spartan-II soldier. But she has been by John's side since the very beginning of their lives, living on the same colonist planet of Eridanus II. The two children attended the same school: Elysium City Primary Education Facility Number 119, labeled by their fellow classmates as "The Dangerous Duo." Nuisance: a person, thing, or circumstance causing inconvenience or annoyance. When a human girl is sent to the same base as Blue Team and Johnson, it goes as well as you'd expect. Johnson seems to enjoy her company and so does Blue Team. Except for one. When she gets assigned on the same mission as them however, John-117 ends up slowly accepting her into their group and learns to work with her. But what if the mission doesn't go as planned? What if John ends up dropping his guard? What if... ...he gains feelings for her? I only update when my nephew comes over. I don't own Halo!

In a galaxy-wide war. For over 20 years, humanity has been on the defensive, surviving against the odds from a genocidal religious alien cult known as the Covenant. Fighting for humanities very existence, untold numbers of UNSC forces will lay down their lives so that countless others may live. This story is a "what if scenario" and unique take on an idea that the creators of Halo original made for a draft to how Halo 2 was supposed to end during the designing phase of the videogames. (When Halo 2 was the "last game" and Halo 3 wasn't supposed to exist due to the current development schedules at the time). That idea being how Master Chief and Commander Miranda Keyes were supposed to have a "romantic relationship" at the end of the game, but scrapped it due to it making no sense for this to even happen. So, this story about this concept of an unlikely relationship with Master Chief and Commander Miranda Keyes and will recreate it to be more complex and expand this scrapped idea and potential make something of it. Ultimately, during the darkness of war, the time for companionship is an afterthought as time passes and chaos continues. Will this unlikely duo that being the legendary Spartan 2 Master Chief and UNSC Commander Miranda Keyes grow closer together against such darkness against the Covenant, or fall victim as many have before them.

Samuel-034 was the very first Spartan to ever die inside the Covenant Ship, sacrificing himself and allowing the UNSC to have hope of defeating an enemy that would lead them to years of war. As the ship brightens up, he closed his eyes and took one last breath and allow himself to perish along with the ship. But somehow he didn't die.... He had realised that he had found himself on a planet. Not any planet that he knows off. But a planet that is full of monsters and teenagers learning to become warriors to combat such monsters.
