No one knows what the knights did in Jerusalem, but they stayed there for nine years before returning home to France. After that, the Templars became the richest and most powerful order in Europe-until the French king decided that he wanted the Templars' treasure. The year is 1361. King Valdemar invades Gotland. The Swedish peasantry resists, but King Valdemar crushes everything in his path toward the capital, Visby. Stone by stone the wall is built, while the maiden weeps in the splendor of the moonlight.
