Gilan has been apprenticed to the famous Halt O'Carrick for two years now. He's excelled in every aspect of his training, especially in unseen and silent movement. Becoming a Ranger is all Gilan has ever wanted for the majority of his life. Of course, he still trains under MacNeil in Carraway Fief. But as Gilan leaves for what he thinks is another uneventful journey to study under the swordsman, he finds himself crossing paths with a nasty enemy. One of Morgarath's most trusted allies has managed to escape the hands of the Ranger Corps for two years, a problem that is so concerning, King Duncan has threatened to reevaluate the Corps members if this man goes unchecked. And Gilan finds himself in the heart of the enemy's camp. Will Gilan escape to tell Halt? If he does, can the two of them, along with a few others from the Corps, track down this enemy and finally capture him? What's more, will this ally lead them to Morgarath and give them the chance to stop this warlord once and for all?

How does Will react to Alyss's death? We don't get to see that part so read the prologue to find out. This story takes place after The Royal Ranger Will found a young Arridan-Byzantos child 5 years ago who he took into his home. Brentley was old enough to remember his past life as a slave for the Gypsies but doesn't remember his parents because they were sent to Skandia. What happens when Will gets a mysterious letter? Brentley's life as he knows it may change forever. Note: that is the main plot but there are a few sub plots too within the story. Also the name Isla is pronounced Eye-la. What happened after the Ranger's Apprentice series ended? What happened to Maddie after she got her Silver Oakleaf? Did she gain respect, or did sje relapse back into her old pampered self? In this book, I plan to answer those questions the way I think things should happen. Disclaimer: The character's I'll be using are from John Flanagan's series, The Ranger's Apprentice. If I ever create a character, I will tell you.

How was Halt's childhood at Clonmel? How he escaped? When he met Pritchard? Why he came to Araluen? Or how he found Crowley? Story devoted just and only to Halt (cuz i wanted story like that but didn't found so i make my own)

When Araluen is asked to enter a war to help aid one of their allying country's, Will and Halt are sent to investigate to see if it's as bad as they have been told. Only to discover that the life Will has lived has been nothing but a lie and the truth could put him as an enemy to the country he had once called his home.
