Post Reichenbach fall After his best friend and flat mate's suicide, John Watson is a total mess. Then Sherlock Holmes comes back from his fake death. How will the doctor react to that? Inspired by the song 'Say Something' where I immediately thought of Johnlock. I also watched a fanvid (which I've linked at the end of the book) which gave me a more rounded plot. Set during the Reichenbach, Sherlock denies every opportunity to be with John, but he does this for his own good. To 17 year old John Hamish Watson, love is an emotion. purer than any other, but something he hasn't found yet. John hides in the closet, dating a new girl every other month in an attempt to hide his sexuality from his homophobic friends and parents. They kicked his sister Harry out when she came out, and nothing was the same for her at school afterwards. To William Sherlock Scott Holmes, a boy of a year younger, love is a silly concept that is simply nothing more than a chemical imbalance in the brain. His older brother Mycroft once told him that caring was a disadvantage, and while he would never admit it, he somewhat idolized Myscroft. He knew his brother was smarter than him, therefore, was probably right. Sherlock, as he was called, had always followed this advice, blocking out emotions and never caring about anyone, until one day, he met someone who threw him for a loop. Neither expected what was to come.

John Watson, a healthy, friendly, English boy stumbles upon Sherlock Holmes, a runaway living in the abandoned house next door. At first, Sherlock is standoffish and cold, only wanting to be by himself, and John respects that. But then, Sherlock gets himself hurt and John has no choice but to take care of his secret neighbor himself. A bond of unbreakable friendship grows between them, until the day Sherlock has to leave.

John, You asked me once why I loved you. You asked me why someone as extraordinary as me could love someone as ordinary as you. To me John, you are extraordinary. I have never been good at expressing the way I feel about you in words. So instead I have chosen to write it down. These letters explain everything I've ever felt about you, even from before we started dating. If you are reading this than I have finally worked up the courage to show you.
