You move in with Larry and Van after years of dog sitting and house sitting when they were away on tour. Things were going really well, you and Van begin to fall for each other until one morning where he messes it all up. Well so you think..... (This is my first fic on here so bare with. It's very long and I used to post them on my fan account on insta but thought it would be better to publish them on here. They met, they got close, she left for New York, he wrote Cocoon.. When Lylah reconnects with her old friend Van McCann, she's hesitant and doesn't really understand how to grasp the situation. Her closet friend Scarlet drops by for an unexpected visit and soon everything turns south. Lylah faces some hard truths, ups and downs, regret, and happiness but everything turns sour once she no longer has Scarlet and ends up having multiple hangovers.. The rise of Alt-Rock band Catfish and the Bottlemen brings with it recognition, fame, and compromise. Lead singer and founding member Van McCann has learned to balance all three of these over the course of the band's ride to fame, but there's one thing he's never gotten used to; loneliness. During a tour of the states and the writing and recording process of the band's fourth studio album, Van finds himself caught in a situation involving the girl he could never have, and her addiction to the toxic things in her life.

I don't know where this is going to go buttt the idea is I'll make a whole load of different chapters based on songs from the lids early days. I love all the songs from their old EP's (I'm sure everyone does) so what better way to show that then write some fics about them all? Enjoy!

Van McCann was your average British burnout teenager. Barely graduated, could drink his weight at the pub, enjoyed cigarettes as well as smoking a few other substances. But he had ambitions, he always dreamed of his band traveling the world and selling out concerts one day, but that's a hard thing to start when you've got no money. When all the members agree to pick up side jobs Van must think a little outside the box and if babysitting for the brats down the street was the only way, so be it. However when their older sister Emily comes back from university, he might have a new incentive to stay.

But in hell, there was relief in the utter helplessness. Here, your actions had both consequences for yourself, and others. You weren't sure which was worse.

Van is home from tour and is exhausted. You're waken up by Van and Larry arguing in the kitchen, you diffuse the situation and look after Van by washing his hair, putting on face masks and getting stoned in the front room. Cute and sweet.

van meets a girl who says she isn't real. he doesn't necessarily believe her, but it doesn't help when no one else can see her. >> short chapters & lowercase <<

Loosely based on Outside- You and Van always find your way back to each other when he's home from tour. It's hard, people talk and laugh and you don't know how much more you can take, especially when you find yourself falling in love with him. (Yes I know I've just published one based on Hourglass but i like this one so have two based on different catfish songs😂)

The only thing that was unanimous was that Llandudno was the not the place for them. They were nothing more than acquaintances at first, then there was too much of a good thing and they got to know each other. Opposites attract, but when you're neither here nor there on the likeness scale, things, and people, can become difficult.
