Mort Rainey has faced six long months of being stuck reluctantly in the middle of a divorce. Along with the marital trouble, a stranger from Mississippi comes and claims that Mort has plagiarized his story. To ensure his safety, his lawyer hired a newly hired Seal-trained agent of the FBI agency to stay with him. However, who is it that really needs protecting when agent Mary Delaney finds no evidence of this Mississippi man? This is a Secret Window fanfiction. I do not own anything related to Secret Window, only the twist I put in the story. Based off of the film adaptation of Stephen King's "Secret Window, Secret Garden". After confirming Jessica - his girlfriend of two and a half years - has been cheating on him, Mort Rainey retreats to his secluded cabin in the woods and starts writing a new story - a sequel to Secret Window - to overcome the hole left in his heart. But his writer's block comes back along with John Shooter, an old part of him that he didn't think was there anymore. It seems inevitable that Shooter will break free of his chains and come out. Mort can see the hat. Will he wear it once again? This will have violence, but I've turned mature off for now, since I don't know how detailed it will be yet.
