Born two years after Mary died, in one of John's more careless flings and left in front of a motel door, Mat was raised in the true Winchester way. Only, he could never quite get the hang of anything John tried to teach him. Having given up on making Mat a hunter, John focuses on his other two sons. After Sam left, it doesn't take long before Mat, at sixteen, follows in his older brother's footsteps. But he can't escape the Winchester destiny. Mat reluctantly agrees to help in their search, but as they keep following the leads John sets down, Sam and Dean can't help but notice that Mat seems...different then he used to.
