The clown loved, or more desired the bats expressions even though he wore a cowl every night. He desired just to see the bats lips curl into a frown, or how his eyes would narrow when he spoke bad words with amusement. Jokers eyes would twinkle with a look of lust in a sadomasochistic way. He found pleasure in the pain Batman gave him, all the punches being thrown, all the blood being spat, bruises being made - The broken gears in his head made his heart race whenever he was in physical pain, it made him want to keep striving. Joker wants to get closer to the bat, closer in the way of intimacy. He wanted to learn more about the Dark knight, he needed to see what was behind that bat cowl. But as the further the clown tries to get in this act, the more serious it gets.
