Meanwhile she starts a casual relationship with Station 19 firefighter, Maya Bishop, and adjusts to her new life in Seattle. She is appointed as Jo's maid of honor at Alex and Jo's wedding where many obstacles come in that one day. Despite this she is determined to see her intern year through with her head held high and her surgical skills heightened.
