Laurie was miserable. Jo, the woman he loved, rejected his marriage proposal. He has no idea what to do with his life. Going through women faster than he can go through Europe was a sentence he never thought he could even say. After finally having his senses knocked into him by Amy March, he walks out of the ball and finds a strange woman sitting in the garden, painting. At night. Laurie then finds himself conversing with this strange woman. Laurie didn't go to London. Instead, he stayed in Concord, helping the March family through Beth's illness. He never told anyone he'd not had scarlet fever. When Beth recovers, Laurie falls ill and Jo rushes home to help her boy. Old feelings resurface. Could there be something more than friendship between them? Alice March is the third youngest daughter, she's a singer and a dreamer. The feeling of love is one that she craves, she longed for that feeling. She wanted someone to be utterly devoted to her, and Theodore Laurence gave her that.

Maybe I am being too harsh but it's better to be angry at someone than to pine after them. Especially as the man in question is so blatantly unavailable, it's too agonising to endure. ________________________________________ What if Laurie read Jo's letter? Would it change everything? Or would nothing change at all? Heartbreak and conflict ensues under the March family household but the question remains true-What does the future hold for these two who are destined to be, yet torn apart by fate itself?

The extra March, is everything that the others girls are but more. She gorgeous, kind, a great painter, desirable, and would make a wonderful wife But will her past with an old family friend ruin her new life in Paris? I dont own the story or most if the character's, just thought it'd be fun to write a little story about Laurie and someone other than Amy and Jo in the end.
