Melissa Byers has lived in Hawkins her whole life. It was just a small town in Indiana nothing can go wrong right?? She was later proven wrong with that events that occurred on November 6th, 1983, where her little brother Will goes missing. She was the girl everyone knew and loved in school. She was on the cheer team and played the flute in the marching band. She has never really liked anyone romantically before until a few years later when her co-worker Robin Buckley comes and makes her feel things she's never felt before. Nancy felt like the type of girl that was more than temporary. Nancy felt like a future. There was no denying that last year was rough. Well, that would be an understatement if there ever was one. Steve had learned things he never thought were possible after the disappearance of Will Byers. Yet none of the agony he'd felt during that time compared to the gut wrenching pain of his heartbreak tonight, on Halloween of all nights when his now ex girlfriend Nancy Wheeler told him the true ways she felt.
