Somewhat based on the show Castle, well the characters, I introduce to you high school sweethearts. Imagine Kate and Rick meeting each other before he was a writer and Kate was his muse, before she was a detective or captain. Just think, what would have happened if they met in high school, and continued their love story from there. Will Rick still be a writer? Will Kate become a detective? Is Lanie still Kate's best friend? Where are the boys? This is my first fanfiction, so I hope you guys enjoy and please leave me comments to let me know what you think. Always, H (me)

BACK IN BLUE They were detectives. Now they're back in uniform... and Castle's loving every minute of it. Fifteen years ago, three lives were changed. Some wounds healed. Some were buried. Some were never allowed to close. When the past resurfaces, Castle, Ryan, and Esposito are forced to confront what they survived-and what it took from them. ------ This Fanfiction takes place in the late 5th season of Castle. This is very important to note, because it shows where the three men are in their lives right now. Castle and Beckett are together, but Beckett is questioning where their relationship is even going. Ryan and Jenny are trying to have a baby, but aren't having luck. Esposito and Lanie, have been broken up for some while, but are now off and on with casual hookups. This book idea was originally written on a word document, after I sketched out all of the characters ( THERE ARE A LOT OF OC's ). I decided to just publish the first chapter to give you guys something to look forward to! This isn't a story for the people looking for a perfect end. That... is all I will say. What I will say, is that Castle, Ryan, and Esposito are going to see things, remember things, and be put through hell. How fun! Anyway, I really hope to have the FULL book published onto Wattpad in mid to late of 2026!
