[SHORT STORY] Seokjin really likes the rain. He's a quiet boy who likes to keep to himself. He just sits in the rain for hours. Namjoon is an observant boy who lives across the street from Seokjin. Kim Namjoon has been a lonely kid ever since his best friend, Jung Hoseok, moved away. He's in his senior year of high school, he's accepted the fact that he's lonely now. But, like all humans, he craved the company of another human. What he didn't crave was for a box to show up on his doorstep in the middle of the night, nor did he crave for a life-sized doll to be inside. Thrilled by the idea of a friend, Namjoon took the box inside and took care of his doll. His doll was the perfect companion. Why wouldn't he be? He was attentive, cute, and just as human enough to feel real. Too real to the point where Namjoon can't tell if he's human or not. As the line between humans and dolls blur, Namjoon finds himself feeling trapped. He can't get rid of the doll, he'd feel awful. But as time goes on and the truth about his doll's existence unravels, Namjoon thinks differently of his seemingly perfect friend. He feels that his doll is just as trapped as himself, trapped in something he had no say in. Namjoon never asked to be part of an experiment.
