In a colony where Spanish blood opens doors that talent alone cannot, Alfonso Linares de Espadaña is a walking lie. To escape starvation in Madrid, he allowed himself to be transformed into a distinguished gentleman and an acceptable suitor for the beautiful María Clara. But when his carefully constructed deception collapses, Alfonso loses everything-his status and the life he hoped to build. Reduced from honored guest to servant, he must embrace the truth he spent years hiding and struggle to reclaim his dignity in a society ruled by wealth, pride, and appearances. In a world governed by greed, malice, and power, can a disgraced man prove that true nobility comes not from birth, but from character? Inspired by José Rizal's Noli Me Tangere, this reimagined historical drama follows one of its most overlooked and controversial figures.

NOTE: This is our English project but I liked the plot I made so I decided to publish it here in wattpad. Alejandro De Alcantara, Jose Rizal's assistant, went to Manila due to Rizal's orders. He joined K.K.K and became Andres, Procopio, and Emilio Jacinto's friend. The revolution started and it went well until the execution of Rizal happened. At the same day of the execution, Emilio and Alenjandro heard a single gunshot near Andres Bonifacio's secret office. December 30, 1896, two hopes died. Together with Procopio, Bonifacio's brother, they investigate Bonifacio's Assassination. They believed that there was a traitor around them.

"Noli Me Tangere" is a novel written by Filipino nationalist and author Jose Rizal. Published in 1887, it is considered one of the most important works of Philippine literature. The title is Latin, which translates to "Touch Me Not" in English. The novel revolves around the life of Crisostomo Ibarra, a young Filipino who returns to the Philippines from studying in Europe. Upon his return, he finds his country oppressed by Spanish colonial rule and the Catholic Church's influence. Through various characters and subplots, the novel explores themes such as social injustice, abuse of power, corruption, and the effects of colonialism on Filipino society. "Noli Me Tangere" critiques the Spanish colonial administration and exposes the abuses committed by those in power, particularly the friars and the wealthy elite. It also portrays the struggles of the Filipino people under colonial rule and their aspirations for freedom and social justice. The novel was instrumental in inspiring the Philippine Revolution against Spanish rule, as it exposed the harsh realities of colonial oppression and sparked a sense of national identity and unity among Filipinos. As a result, Jose Rizal is widely regarded as a national hero in the Philippines, and "Noli Me Tangere" remains a significant cultural and historical text in Filipino literature. Peculiarity lies in between the ringing of the church bells... I've been reading #ManilaEncounters tweets lately and I read one that inspired me to write this little thing. If you were the one who tweeted this, please do tell me so I can give you the credit. May you enjoy this short literary work of mine and feel free to correct any errors you may root out. From the renowned Filipino reformist and national hero Dr. Jose Rizal comes a classic piece of literature that served as the spark for the nation's revolution and the eye-opener regarding the disease that has been festering within the Philippine society during the Spanish era. After seven years of studying in Europe, a wealthy young gentleman by the name of Juan Crisostomo Ibarra returns to the Philippines, filled with hope and inspired by dreams for the betterment of the country. Armed with sheer determination and a firm and positive outlook on things, he commits himself to continuing his father's philanthropical work, pioneering projects aiming at the development of the people's welfare by providing means to education and livelihood. While there are people who are avid supporters of the young man's cause, there exists in the shadows an entity as dark and malicious as the abyss it came from, shrouded deeply by lies and deceit and the hypocrisy that spawned it, hell-bent on destroying everything that stood in its path...
