Set in 2007, in the neighborhood of Clancy Way, the story explores the rivalry between the Downbeats and the Clique, two teenage street gangs of different family backgrounds. Both gangs vie for dominance of the neighborhood, and the police try to keep order. Joshua Dun, a former Downbeat and older brother of the gang's leader, Jordan Dun, falls in love with Tyler Joseph, the brother of Zack Joseph, the leader of the Clique. When Tyler needed an escape from his very busy, fast-paced, overwhelming life in New York City, he jumped at the opportunity to fill in as a fire look out at one of the fire watch towers in Washington State. However, as much as he needed a break from the loud and suffocating life that was filled with expectations in the city, he underestimated the immense solitude and loneliness that came with being a fire look out. Luckily, an unexpected static voice was there to keep him sane. (a short Joshler story!)

Stellar Michaels was just your average, uninteresting, plain looking girl that had absolutely nothing special about her, save for her best friend being the drummer of Twenty One Pilots. Thanks to Josh, her world gets turned upside down when she gets introduced to fellow band fall out boy and on her own becomes a crucial part of My chemical Romance's downfall.
