Ashanti is a citizen of the Kingdom of Wakanda. She is a Wakandan spy and a former member of the Dora Milaje. Unlike most of Wakanda...she's powered...just like King T'Chaka's son; T'Challa. Powered to a certain extent. She couldn't move things with her mind but she was better than everyone else. She was deployed to America as the first powered Wakandan spy. Courtesy of King T'Chaka who gave her the heart-shaped herb that gave her the powers of the Black Panther. Of course, that mantle was reserved for T'Challa. She had to take another alias. She was always drawn to Leopards over the Panther. Maybe it had something to do with camoflauge. Given how she was a spy...it only made sense. She was in the midst of tracking down two international assassins and terrorists that brought the downfall of S.H.I.E.L.D. The world's leading organization when it comes to spying on everyone. Her job is made easier when the two assassins were spotted near the United Nations during a terrorist attack on the Sokovia Accords. That is...until she finds that she isn't the only person that's hunting them down. A certain man in a black Vibranium cat suit was after them...for revenge. She couldn't allow them to live but she also couldn't allow them to die at her hands...she had to let them die at the hands of the son of the father they had killed.
