"Why?! Why does it all have to end?! What's the purpose of living if you can't stop people from dying?!" Josuke sobbed out, clinging onto Rohan for the second time that night, like a baby koala clinging to it's mother. It would've been cute if Rohan's heart didn't crack a little every time Josuke let out an ugly sob. Hesitantly, Rohan wrapped his arms around the younger man, rubbing his back in slow, soft, comforting circles, trying to think of an appropriate response. "Well," The mangaka began, trying to keep his voice steady and strong for Josuke's sake. "Life isn't beautiful because it lasts." - Or, Okuyasu didn't survive the final battle with Kira, and months later Josuke still suffers from nightmares and regrets. Having no clue what else to do, Josuke turns to the only person he can think of, his rival-turned-crush, Rohan Kishibe.
