It's been over a year since Hopper died and the Byers family plus Eleven have moved away from Hawkins. This Christmas there coming back to visit everyone. Out of nowhere, Hopper comes back but not in the way you think. Is Hopper ever going to be the same again and who was there messing with him...

But as ash rains down and the ground cracks open, Max is still in a coma and Eddie was lost in the fight to defeat Vecna. Will the group be able to come together again, now that everyone is back in Indiana, to get rid of Vecna once and for all, and prevent the Upside Down from taking over Hawkins?
