my New Year's Poem

Summer is a girl who seems to have it all. Perfect grades, bubbly, nice parents, fit; the type of girl that draws everyone to her. But people don't realise that behind the smiles, there lies a girl who feels lost, alone and has been contemplating taking her life for several years. During the journey that is her life, Summer must decide whether the suffering and pain that everyone goes through will end her life, or if the joys and small beauties of life are worth living for. This story shows that you should never judge people because you don't know them, and mentions the struggles of life that everyone faces. Note: I wrote this as a challenge to write a short story in one day!!! Please try to remember that I was only 14 when I wrote this and as I only had one day to write it, it hasn't been edited!!

short story about a guy and a girl that meet in detention and have a little fun. Originally a piece entered into a best short story competition (2nd place)

Life is ephemeral although, the emotions conjured will leave an imprint in our world and live on... beyond our existence.

Unfortunately this story starts as many others do. Another story of a teenager but this one is quite different. The story of a 16 year old Melody who wakes up in her 11 year old body. The feelings of a teenager who has to go through her childhood all over again. She takes a look at her past from a new perspective. Perspective of her future self. Even her intelligence won't make any adult listen to what an 11 year old has to say. What's worse being a child or a teenager? Being Melody. I hope you'll enjoy this story as much as I enjoyed writing it. It's my debut and I would love to hear your opinion and especially criticism about it. P.S. It's not finished yet but trust me it's gonna get waaaay more interesting ;)
