A famous poet once said, "I took the one (road) less traveled by, and that has made all the difference." This story is living (or nonliving depending on how you view it) proof that the famous line from that poem is true. This is my entry for @thefictionawards July 2016 contest. Themed 'drive' with the genre Adventure. #jul2016 This story is a short story, so if you're ever looking for a quick read, this is right up your alley! Enjoy! P. S. I may add on to this later - about the character's futures and home lives - just for any readers who are curious. For this reason, since these extra parts are not essential to the story, Wishes will be labeled complete. I will also now be using this story and any continued parts I post as writing practice, now that the contest is over. This practice may be recreating the characters as vampires, or writing about their high school life, or making them ride unicorns, or writing a journal entry from their point of view. Comment any suggestions for any specifically themed chapters you would like to see, and if I like the suggestion, and have ideas to go with it, and I write it, I will give credit to the basic idea of that chapter to you. Thank you! Summary: Everyone plans out their birthdays, whether it be a shopping trip or a movie, and Lily was no different. But that day, a lot of things happened that she didn't plan on. And none of them were pleasant. Lily didn't plan on her friend getting into a car crash. She didn't plan on watching her friend get pulled out of the wreckage, bloody and broken. And she definitely didn't plan on having to support him all the to the hospital in an ambulance. And she's never imagined it would be all her fault.
