The story starts with the tragic death of Marinette's father, Tom. Adrian who had a similar experience with his mother decides to become closer to Marinete so he can comfort her. "Hey come on, that would never happen anyway." I say to try and lighten the mood again. She puts the pillow down and turns to me grabbing my hands. "I'm serious Juleka, I don't know what I would do if I lost you." I felt like I couldn't say anything, Rose caught me completely off guard with her sudden change in attitude.
