-La vida es simple a la luz de la luna -susurró a la vez que jugueteaba con una varilla en su mano derecha. -¿Qué? -exclamé mientras pestañeaba energéticamente- Julian solía decir frases sueltas sin sentido, pero la luna estaba realmente bella, así que supuse que se refería a que la luz que nos envolvía estaba haciendo que todo fuese más fácil. Me alegraba escuchar esas palabras de parte del castaño, que la mayoría de veces -por no decir siempre- veía las cosas de la peor manera posible. Me avergüenza confesarles que la última vez que lo vi fue hace diez años. He seguido con mi vida pero he observado atenta cada una de sus subidas y sus peores caídas, confieso que he leído con los ojos bien abiertos el diario en varias ocasiones, cuando le acusaban de ser "drogadicto o dependiente del alcohol" y hasta cuando tuvo su primer hijo. Mi vida tomó un curso totalmente distinta a la de él. Pero un día mientras tomaba una cerveza, un amigo puso una canción en youtube, "Life is simple in the moonlight" escuché su voz apagada y arrastrada pero a la vez con mucho sentimiento, me rasqué la cabeza de forma inquieta y me levanté un poco mareada para ver el nombre de la banda en la pantalla del computador, "The Strokes", susurré el nombre y mi cerveza cayó al suelo.

Como es que las personas pueden encontrar la felicidad. Como saben que es la persona correcta. Como no salir lastimado de este experimento al que llamamos amor. Si bien, el amor no existe, por lo menos para mi no es lo suficientemente real para creer en el, no hay una definición exacta sobre eso. Eso es peligroso, es mortal y tóxico, según me han contado. Que nadie necesita de eso para ser feliz o si? Pero, es ahí donde te das cuenta que te hace falta algo, cuando llegas al punto de tenerlo todo y querer, buscar algo mas. Pero en realidad no saben que camino tomar, cual es el correcto. En el mundo, solamente debes de preocuparte por una sola cosa, tu mismo. Solo interesas tú, nadie más, porque nacemos solos y morimos solos. Todos están por su cuenta, el amor es solo algo ficticio, en realidad nadie siente nada. Solo somos sacos de huesos que han venido a la tierra a sufrir con lo que se presente y aprender a lidiar con ello. La felicidad es algo que se moldea con el paso de los años, sin ser visible, por lo menos para mi no es real. El amor es algo que alguien inventa por si solo y se crea una idea de el, pero lo que ocurre no es real. Lo único real son las lágrimas y la tristeza, porque eso se manifiesta con mayor facilidad y te da una prueba clara de ello. Las risas y carcajadas se desvanecen en el aire. No vamos a caer en esas estupideces del amor, porque no es real.
