(Asrian) (modern+mermaid au cuz I'm a sucker for mermaid/siren aus) Julian works as a veterinarian at a nearby aquarium and on his way to work one hot morning, he finds Asra, a merman, on the shore tightly tangled in old fishing nets and very dehydrated. He nurses the siren back to health, trying his best to keep him secret from his coworkers. It doesn't work for long after Julian gets seriously hurt leading to Asra ending up as an attraction for the aquarium which, surprisingly, he's okay with. But things are only beginning for Julain and Asra's complicated relationship. ~~This may or may not be total crap, but hey, let's see how this turns out by the end! It may improve, it may not, but you never know until you read it.~~

Asra and Julian haven't seen each other since Asra told Julian that he didn't love him. But when they meet again at the palace, dynamics change.

a short little one shot based off of my head cannon that Asra (from The Arcana), is AFAB nonbinary (they're already canonically nonbinary, so it would make sense), and in a time frame where he and Julian are being more vulnerable with each other, and are working on patching things up. this is mostly a fluffy, self indulgent fic tbh 🙏🏻 this is my first fic so go easy on me please <3
