Decided to separate bandstand show specific one shots! As I've had a lot of ideas. Fully aware NO ONE will read these but oh well! Its fun to write!

Takes place immediately after 'This Is Life'. Julia tries to make sense of her feelings for Donny - and trying to convince herself it's okay. One-shot.

It's 1945, and 18 year old Julia Trojan is anxiously waiting for her father, Micheal, to return home from the war. After loosing her mother, Christina, to leukemia the year before, Julia just wants happiness and to be just who she was before. A soldier arriving at her doorway with a telegram, changes all of that. Living with her grandmother June, Julia feels the need to immediately grow up. No more being a kid, dreaming of college or singing just for fun. She gets a job, starts supporting the mortgage, and is an adult overnight. When 22 year old Donny Novitski, a friend of her father's over seas, invites her to sing with the swing band he has created, Julia wants to believe the fantasy where everything will be perfect again. Donny has secrets and Julia wants answers. After reluctantly joining the band, Julia soon learns that maybe the band is her only way to find happiness. This is a book of a bunch of Bandstand things to build the fandom. Let's expand the fandom! Bandstand is amazing and it should be honoured as the amazing musical that it is. It deserves more than this small fandom we have now.

Donny proposes to Julia, and it doesn't go quite how he thought it would.

Julia and Donny have just admitted their feelings for one another moments before stepping onstage, about to perform a song that will change their lives forever. For better or for worse. Following the competition the Donny Nova band heads home to Cleveland after becoming a nationwide success over night. Call come in for booking all across the country and they work hard to ensure they don't lose sight what brought them together in the first place. Julia and Donny do their best to keep their new relationship a secret from the public eye. Nervous of the potential disapproval they could be faced with now that the whole county knows that her dead husband was Donny's best friend during the war.
