Set during Mechtanium Surge (Arc 2) When Shun fought against Wiseman and Nonets alone, he didn't leave the battle unscathed. Just as Skytruss and Orbeum, Jaakor's former students, prepare to return to New Vestroia, Shun collapses. The only choice of action the Bakugan can think of is to take him back to their home world with them. But fates collide when they encounter three other Ventus Bakugan who happen to be former partners of Shun and Jaakor's predecessors. Things take an interesting turn when they witness the close bond between Shun and Skyress. To see a human partner as family isn't unheard of with the Bakugan, but never before have they seen a Bakugan adopt a human as their own in all but blood. At first they seemed harmless enough, so a bunch of kids created a whole new game. but that's when they realized those cards weren't so harmless after all. They held creatures from another world, but Harry Potter didn't find out till the summer after his third year. Now together with his friends Dan, Runo, Marucho, Julie, not to mention mister hot-shot himself Shun, and Alice, they are the Bakugan Battle Brawlers.

Lynn Crest is ranked as the seventh best brawler in the entire world. She has always been okay being on her own with her partner Bakugan Leonidas, and it is her dream to climb the rankings and become the number one brawler in the world. However, when her family moves from the United States to Wardington, she finds that it may not be so bad to make some friends in her new home after all. When she is invited to Masquerade's party with all the top brawlers on the same day as she is asked to meet up with the Battle Brawlers, she must make a choice: play with the best in the world and become the most powerful brawler, or find true companionship with the Battle Brawlers and fight for what's right. And it was happening all around the world: in the north; and the south. They landed everywhere. Together with my new online friends from around the world, we invented a wicked new game we called 'Bakugan'. That's when the power of the cards was revealed: Each one held its own battling beast which came to life when you threw it down. The battles were intense, and if you chose the wrong card, you lost it AND the beast inside. But that's only half the story: another even bigger battle was taking place in a parallel universe called Vestroia. Shun's father left before he was born, and no explanation was ever given except that he simply had to leave. Shun was alone. His mother died, leaving him to be raised by his grandfather in the ways of the ninja and kept as far away from the game of Bakugan as possible, the only exception being Skyress, a legendary Ventus bakugan given to him by his late mother. Now, he has helped Dan and his friends defeat Masquerade, save New Vestroia, and end an intergalactic war between Gundalia and Neathia, and the Bakugan Battle Brawlers have risen to the top. Life was finally starting to look a little brighter for Shun Kazami... ...until his father comes back, dragging him into a whole new world of danger that Shun has never experienced as secrets from his family's past begin to unravel, leaving him to wonder...
