To Defy Gravity is a book set in the point of view of Sage Carter, who is a teen with a troubled mind due to a riding accident when she was fourteen. When she keeps having nightmares and waking up in cold sweats at four in the morning her mother and guidance counsellor suggest that she takes on the fear head first. After long discussions, arguments and mental breakdowns Sage finally agrees to go to a stable called Canterbury Crest where she meets a stallion that ignights the spark that had been sitting in her heart ever since she stopped sitting in the saddle; so with ambition and fear Sage takes on the challenge and rises to try and gain respect and happiness. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- my equestrian friend is probably going to absoulutely kill me for creating a riding book, but my brain is bursting at the seams with ideas. A small town In the Middle of no where Colorado, There is a brand new group of graduating seniors. Every year a agme is played where they are tested and challenged to face their fears. Only a few seniors are invited to join and in that small group only a few actually play the game. Sloane Di Villers was apart of that little group that was picked but she had no interest in Joining this game. Much to everyone's surprise, including her own, Sloane shows up as a last minute contestant and ends up in the lead. As she tries to stay in the lead and win the game she makes a few unexpected friends, and maybe more.
