I am doing a writing challenge in the month of June 2022 to write something based on a prompt every day. This is day 2. The prompt: Write a piece of flash fiction (up to 500 words) set entirely in a canoe. This one was especially hard for me. I was thinking about what to write all day and didn't finish until late. I had never attempted flash fiction or really heard of it. Trying to squeeze storytelling to under 1000 words is a feat, let alone 500. Ultimately, I had a really fun time trying to get it to work and I think I'm satisfied with the result. I hope you enjoy it!

A couple poems I made throughout June of 2022. Enjoy!

I am doing a writing challenge during the month of June to write something based on a prompt every day. There are some days with no prompts; here is day 4. The prompt: write a poem about the monster under the bed. I'm not huge on writing poetry. This is a coupled rhyme poem from the perspective of the kid and how he befriended his monster instead of being scared of it.
