What if Jack had a younger sister named Kalani. Her nicknames are Kali and Kala. Together, these 5 kids must survive the end of the world and survive both zombies and monsters on their planet - after mysterious portals opened up in the sky, raining monsters from a different Dimension. Kalani had a crush on Quint and no one knows until they meet the monsters and after talking for a while, Skaelka quickly becomes Kalani's best monster friend. So Kalani tells her about her crush. Also, yes, this fic is for the ship Monster Dads, aka Thrull x Bardle, however this fic takes place in a Canon-divergent timeline where Thrull wasn't evil and was simply an old army guy, which is pretty much all that's changed.) --- It's the first Valentine's Day since the Zombie Monster Apocalypse started. The main four are excited, and in turn, their new monster friends are excited. Well, all except two monsters. An ex-war general monster, and a sorcerer, also known as Thrull and Bardle. These two, still trying to navigate the strange world they now reside in, are struggling with feelings that monsters don't commonly grow towards one another. What are friends? What do they do? The people that know the answers definitely aren't these two. ---

When Kate's best friend Quint Baker introduces her to Jack Sullivan, she instantly becomes great friends with the orphan. Then the apocalypse struck. Quint, Jack, June, and Dirk team up during the apocalypse. They are an unlikely team. The orphan, the science geek, the journalist, and the bully. But nonetheless, they are all survivors. When they are telling stories of before the apocalypse, Jack mentions Kate and Jay. Turns out, June knows her. The three mourn over the fact that they were probably not alive, and probably zombies. Kate refuses to believe that her friends are zombified. And 84 days after the end of the world started, her team finally finds Jack, June, Quint, and Dirk. Just several teenagers in a treehouse, during the apocalypse. What could go wrong?
