Everyone has their past struggles, present struggles, and future struggles. It's important to keep your head high, and not to drown in them. When you feel like you can't take it anymore, you can't become weak and give up. You have to keep breathing. Find something to look forward to, and don't let anything stop you from achieving it. For seventeen year old, Eylah Karrington, escaping her past was what she wanted to achieve, and she wasn't going to stop until she felt like it was all left behind.
