Emily, a sassy, sarcastic teenage girl, sets off to Irvine University, hoping the best 2 years of her life are ahead of her. Presley, an outgoing, smart, sarcastic guy, has the honor of being in the same room as Emily, as roommates. Things start off awkward, but after a while, Emily starts to see the real side of Presley as they slowly move closer towards the end of what had seemed to be 2 unforgettable years, not just for Emily, but for the both of them.

Everywhere we go every man on Earth, would have various gadgets around them. The world is now borderless. Everyone can communicate with anyone no matter where they are. There aren't any more boundaries between societies. Other than that, with the presence of the Internet man, could seek various kinds of information from multiple websites; be it useful or harmful. Death had not been any man's fear. Even though it is a fact that every man would pass to the afterlife when the time had come, they do not fear the consequences they had to bear later. Some mistakes weren't well observed as not everyone was gifted with good observation and understanding skills. Due to that, some man was blind by revenge. Hatred and revenge burnt in their heart and soul forgetting that the law is still being upheld. Letters and notes were old ways to express someone's feelings. With the new technology, many had decided to move on, using e-mails and social media to express what they feel. Having a note in a home compound might be exciting for anyone but not Addison Lore. Those notes were sent to her without fail for fourteen continuous days. Even a red ruby ring. Will she be able to escape the fate she was about to face? 'No man is above the law and no one is below it; nor do we ask any man's permission when we ask him to obey it' If the world had no law, people would be running down the streets killing everyone with a home knife. Even with certain laws, mankind had already broken much of them involving; bribery, corruption, malice, and even deceit. In the modern world, money is everyone's new God. Money is their new possession. No one cares about the law anymore. Even in law, money can buy them. To escape the tight rules, mankind use the money to bribe police officers, lawyers, and even high officers. However, despite the whole world filled with corruption and lawyers who wanted money more than anything, there was a lawyer who will be willing to do anything to put justice at hand. Money was not her aim in life. Her main aim was to have the world back the way it was. Wrong is always wrong to her and right is always right. No one can change that in her. But, in the challenging case of Tony, will she managed to maintain her principles? Will she not fall into the deceit of Tony who had escaped many crimes?
