She cheated on him back in high school and he fell in a deep depression that he believed couldn't be cured. Gray refuses to take on any more dates and just as he thinks his era of love is over, he meets this girl who is bound to change his life.

Juvia looked around the place she had entered. It was a warm, cozy café, the opposite of the impersonal chains she usually went to. She immediately felt the gentle warmth of the place wrap around her. She sat at an empty table and looked at the menu of hot drinks, where the name of the café, Mira, was written in elegant letters. There were different kinds of coffees, chocolates, and teas. Everything seemed soothing.
